Adam Ellis, a writer and cartoonist, tweets in August 2017 that “the ghost of a dead child is currently haunting my flat and he’s attempting to kill me.” Using the hashtag #DearDavid, he posts videos of his haunting on social media. As a result, millions of people follow Ellis’ frightening encounters and seek information about the young kid with the indentation on his head. Ellis collaborates with researcher Jen Lewis and ghost hunter Paul Bradford in the Travel Channel series “Trending Fear” to assist others in recovering their lives after terrifying paranormal encounters.
The team will crowdsource the tales, hypotheses, and supporting documentation for each case using social media in addition to more conventional techniques. According to Matthew Butler, general manager of Travel Channel, “Adam’s amazing personal experience and frightening story that went viral in ‘Dear David’ makes him perfectly positioned to aid individuals dealing with paranormal fear.”

When Trending Fear season 2 will come out?
Trending Fear has not yet been formally confirmed by Travel Channel for a second season. There is no fixed release date for the new season as of January 2023.
