Jonathan Majors’ new baddie makes his Marvel Cinematic Universe ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp” debut when the movie hits theaters in February, along with MODOK.
Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania will launch all of it in February. The third film of the Ant-Man trilogy, which stars Paul Rudd, is expected to be the biggest bite-sized adventure yet. Now, with just over a month till the film’s release, Marvel has dropped its latest trailer during the College Football National Title Game. However, that’s not all, as Quantumania also reveal a brand-new poster that showcases the outstanding cast of the movie.
When Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania release?
The movie comes to theaters Friday, Feb. 17. It’s the third solo outing for Paul Rudd’s size-changing hero Scott Lang, the 31st MCU film overall and the first part of MCU’s Phase 5.
Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania new poster.
The latest poster depicts Scott Lang, aka Ant-Man, as stranded in the Quantum Realm, played by Rudd. Kang’s army is surrounding the well-known Avenger, but the MCU hero also has his squad and family on his side. Kathryn Newton’s Cassie Lang, Evangeline Lilly’s Wasp, Michelle Pfeiffer’s Janet Van Dyne, and Michael Douglas’ Hank Pym stand behind Ant-Man. But Kang the Conqueror, a villain created by Jonathan Majors, is the MCU’s upcoming major threat. While the first two Ant-Man films are beloved by most Marvel fans and critics alike, they’re usually seen as lesser entries because of their minuscule impact on the larger MCU.
Ant-Man and the Wasp: QuantumaniaTrailer
Marvel fans can get a fresh preview or trailer at the upcoming film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania, in a brand-new teaser that just dropped. We’ve never seen an Ant-Man trailer like this one, which is low on humor and long on drama. But before Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly return for the third and likely final Ant-Man movie in February, let’s ready to go and Grab a magnifying glass.
SCOTT WANTS TO GO BACK IN TIME — BUT WHY?
After spending five Blipped years away, a pivotal chunk of his teenage daughter’s life, it’s no surprise that Scott Lang is want to trust someone as obviously evil as Kang to get more time. But considering he’s bringing his whole family to the Quantum Realm, it’s also possible that something happens in the movie that could cause Scott to be willing to back in time no matter what the cost.
Who is MODOK?
It is Created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, M.O.D.O.K. first appeared in the pages of Tales of Suspense #93 in September 1967 where he acted as an antagonist to Captain America
While D23 audiences have seen him back in September, this is the first time the rest of us have gotten a look at MODOK, evil genius, grotesque laboratory experiment, and among the best beloved Marvel supervillains (for being so awful). In Quantumania, he appears to be played by Corey Stoll, who portrayed the villainous Yellowjacket in 2015’s Ant-Man, where he was ultimately dispatched by being forced to shrink uncontrollably — and presumably into the Quantum Realm.
M.O.D.O.K. wields a genius-level intellect and a computer-like ability to store and recall information. When you add in his telepathic powers and mental beam, he makes for a formidable floating foe.
Who plays MODOK in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania?
Corey Stoll plays M.O.D.O.K. in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.
He made his debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in 2015, playing villain Darren Cross in the first Ant-Man movie.
DOES SCOTT DIE AT THE END?
This trailer goes heavy on the foreshadowing, almost aggressively hinting at Scott’s demise at the end of the film. Now, it’s possible that Marvel is using this as a cunning attempt at misdirection, setting up Scott’s death just to reverse it or pull a reverse in the end for a more dramatic conclusion. On the other hand, it would make a lot of sense if this were Scott’s final production. With a trilogy completed and an uncertain role in the Avengers, Scott doesn’t exactly feel like a crucial part of Phase 5 and 6 of the MCU. Cassie is an adult now and a better age fit for the upcoming MCU class.
Apart from that, his death would set up some pretty huge stakes to help lead us into the next two Avengers movies where the team will have to face off with Kang.
