Swifties posted their problems on Twitter on Tuesday. While some people claimed success, many others discovered that the Ticketmaster website was unavailable. In fact, Downdector began receiving thousands of reports of outages at 9:30 a.m., with the majority of them occurring on the website rather than the app.

What exactly happened?

Pre-sale tickets for Swift’s first tour in five years were in high demand due to her exceptional popularity.

There were fewer tickets available Tuesday due to a multi-step process, which resulted in ticket frauds and the current outages.

On Tuesday morning, as customers scrambled to get tickets, Downdetector.com showed more than 4,000 outage reports for Ticketmaster.

What Ticketmaster app said about incident

  • According to Business Insider, the Ticketmaster app apologized for the interruption.
  • “We are currently having technical issues, however our team is working to find a quick fix for this.”
  • There was a different notification on the Ticketmaster website that said, “Something went wrong on our end and we need to start over. Broken items are annoying, and our team is working to prevent this from happening again.

Reason behind this incident

The technical issues are another another indication of how popular Swift’s live performances are. Swifties, as her fans are known, have been mesmerized, and the pop queen has responded by extending her tour.

Swift’s tour included 27 dates at first before expanding to 35. There are now 52 shows left on the tour.

Swift tweeted, “Looks like I’ll get to see more of your lovely faces than I had anticipated.”

Another date has announced

Another round of presale tickets opens up Tuesday afternoon for Capital One credit card users. Tickets go on sale to the general public Friday.
